Jacqui is a registered Trans-Tasman (Australia and New Zealand) Patent and Trade Mark Attorney who also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, a Masters of Research (Science), and a Masters of Intellectual Property (MIP).

Jacqui is an intellectual property (IP) practitioner who has been working to help small to large companies protect, manage and commercialise their IP since 2016. She has a passion for educating companies about IP as well as helping protect their IP.

Jacqui is a member of the Institute of Electrical, Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and has held many different committee positions within the Western Australian branch of the IEEE over the last several years. Before working with O’Sullivans Patent and Trademark Attorneys in Perth, Western Australia, Jacqui worked in a large Australian firm, and has worked in the profession in both Australia and New Zealand, and previously in Japan prior to registration as a patent and trade mark attorney in small to large firms. Jacqui has also lectured on innovation and delivered tutorials to engineering students at Edith Cowan University (ECU).

Jacqui’s specialties include patent and trade mark attorney services in the electrical/electronic and mechanical fields. Jacqui’s prior research focused on HgCdTe photodiodes and correlating the signal from the Laser Beam Induced Current (LBIC) machine to characterisation parameters of the HgCeTe photodiodes, which was completed in her final year of engineering honours with the Microelectronics Research Group (MRG) at UWA. Jacqui subsequently researched within a Master of Research (Science) into the optimum wavelength light condition that would provide optimum biomass results for lettuce plants. This condition was then utilised to create a thin film filter for a greenhouse so that the incoming light would be filtered to the optimum biomass light condition for the lettuce plants. Jacqui completed this research within the Electron Science Research Institute at ECU.

Jacqui has a focus on delivering advice to companies to help protect their IP and commercialise it in the future.
